Maryland's largest city "Baltimore" is sporting
one of the newest NFL football stadiums at
Camden Yards. The stadium, with a capacity of
68,400, is state of the art in every aspect,
from fan convenience to the most sophisticated
and largest scoreboard system in the country. It
is the best of its kind: the prototype of the
next genre of NFL stadiums. This is the stadium
Marylanders have been waiting for. It's the only
stadium in the world that deserves a niche in
the best professional sports complex in America,
"Camden Yards".

The unique design of the new stadium was inspired by
Charm City's dramatic architecture, incorporating the
beautiful red brick of Baltimore's neighborhoods.
The
Baltimore Ravens are a professional American
football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. They
compete in the Northern Division of the American
Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football
League (NFL). Sporting purple, black, gold and
white, the Ravens' name was selected from the
results of a Baltimore Sun poll. Chosen to honor the
famous poet, it's believed that Edgar Allan Poe
wrote his poem, "The Raven," while living in
Baltimore in the 1830's. The Baltimore Ravens Mascot
is Edgar, Allan and Poe!
The Ravens have won one Super Bowl title, Super Bowl
XXXV, in the 2000 season against the New York
Giants.
The Ravens beat the Giants 34-7 in Super Bowl XXXV
in Tampa, FL. The Ravens had a legitimate shot at a
shutout until the Giants' Ron Dixon ran back a
kickoff for a TD.
The Ravens scored on a Brandon Stokley reception, a
Jamal Lewis run, a Jermaine Lewis kickoff return, a
Duane Starks interception return, and 2 Matt Stover
Field goals.

Some Baltimore Ravens history: Baltimore was
home to the Baltimore Colts (now Indianapolis Colts)
from 1953
through 1983. This franchise, one of the most
respected in the entire NFL, was lured to
Indianapolis by that
city, which had built a domed stadium that was
standing empty. The Irsay family, owners of the
Colts, packed
up the team's gear and moved it at night to
Indianapolis. The city of Baltimore, stunned by the
move, turned
the tables by coaxing the Cleveland franchise to
come to Baltimore.
