The 2008 playoffs
are shaping up to be a great show. The favorite has to be The
Patriots, but don't
count out the Colts to challenge them for a spot in the Super
Bowl. The Colts dominated the Patriots
in their regular season match up but were out played in the 4th
quarter. This post season could be
one for the record books.
There are also some dark horses in this race. In the AFC the
Browns are looking to get into the
playoffs for the 1st time in 5 years. With an explosive offense
this team can keep themselves in
the game and their defense has dramatically improved in the 2nd
half of the season. Another team
that has been solid all year long are the Jaguars. Being in the
same conference as the Colts and
the Patriots they haven't gotten too much press this year. But
they'll be a dangerous opponent
in the playoffs.
The NFC is more open. The Cowboys and the Packers have both had
great years. But teams like
Minnesota and Tampa Bay can't be overlooked. In Minnesota the
offense has found new life with
Adrian Peterson. Probably their most explosive running back
since Robert Smith. And Tampa has
some veteran leadership in Jeff Garica which is worth it's
weight in gold in the post season.
